Each piece is hand-printed on an analog printing press with oil-based inks on archival paper. The circle layer is printed first with a “rainbow roll” technique using a monotype plate. The linocut figure is printed as an overlay on top of the circle, in this case with a deep red ink. The final layer is the black pup mask overlay. The process creates a beautiful embossment of figure, mask, and shapes.
