Each piece is hand-printed on an analog printing press with oil-based inks on archival paper. The circle layer is printed first with a “rainbow roll” technique and a monotype plate. The linocut figure is then printed as an overlay to the circle, in this case with the base being a light blue-to-teal ombre “rainbow roll” with a gold overlay, creating a beautiful shadow effect that’s hard to capture in photos. The process creates a beautiful embossment of both the figure, and the circle.
