Each piece is hand-printed on an analog printing press with oil-based inks on archival paper. Several circle layers are printed first in order to create saturation and contrast on the black paper. The final circle is a “rainbow roll” done with a monotype plate. The linocut fist is then printed as an overlay to the circle, in this case with a dramatic black ink. The process creates a beautiful embossment of both the figure, and the circle.
