Each piece is hand-printed on an analog printing press with oil-based inks on archival paper. The circle layer is printed first with a “rainbow roll” using a monotype plate. The linocut Castro Theatre sign is then printed as an overlay to the circle, in this case with a teal base and gold overlay. The process creates a beautiful embossment of both the sign and the circle.
This art piece is sold with an included mat.
